By God's grace and providence, Rev. Tim Tallent grew up in the local community with Christian parents and was converted to saving faith in Jesus Christ as a child. He is a 1987 graduate of Hauser High School in nearby Hope, IN.
Though he holds a Master's Degree (M.Min) in Biblical Preaching from Master's International School of Divinity, the vast majority of his theological training has come through self study, and the vast majority of his ministry training has come simply through a life-time in the local church.
He is committed to the expositional preaching and teaching of the Bible, which he believes is God's holy, inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative, and sufficient Word. He was called to the pastorate of FBC Hartsville in March 2006. In his lifetime he has been a member of two churches, and pastor of one.
God has blessed him with a beautiful wife, Christell, who stays active in various forms of ministry. They have one daughter, Adrianne.
